2009 FVGFS FALL BALL

SIGN UPS GOING ON NOW!

Does your daughter want to keep playing softball? Fall Ball is a great way to continue to develop her softball skills, play against a variety of players across OC, play in fun local tournaments and strengthen her game.

All home games will be played at FVGFS fields.

Practices begin in August, season runs September - November.

FVGFS is taking sign ups in all divisions * Teams and roster spots may be limited, don't delay!

2010 Board Members Needed
If you are interested in being part of the 2010 FVGFS Board next year, please let one of the current board members know. Many positions need to be filled and executive board ballots are being made now. The efforts of great people just like you make the league a better place for our girls to play. Please consider helping out in any way you can. Executive Board Ballots will be available soon.



FVGFS is pleased to announce that the 2009 season will welcome the league to its new permanent home and fields within the new City of Fountain Valley Recreation Center and Sports Complex at the corner of Heil and Brookhurst. The league’s all new facilities will feature:

two beautiful state of the art lighted stadium style sunken regulation fields with electronic scoreboards

a permanent snack bar with brand new equipment

office space for the league

expansive greenbelt areas for picnicking and pregame warm ups

a large central plaza with tables and space for league events and activities

an on site equipment storage room immediately adjacent to the restrooms

abundant FREE parking!

MISSION STATEMENT

FVGFS seeks to instill in the girls of the community ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, and reverence so they will grow to be good clean healthy adults. This objective will be reached by supervised, competitive athletic games. The supervisors shall bear in mind at all times that the attainment of exceptional athletic skills or winning of games is secondary and that the molding of future citizens is of prime importance.

The league is open to girls 4-16.
For the 2008 season we will have five divisions. T-Ball, Coach Pitch, 8, 10, 12, and 16 & under. All games are played under ASA and local League Rules, each division has local rules that supercede ASA rules.The league is run by the Board of Directors.  The board is governed by the League Constitution.   Please get involved, help make the league better by pitching in and helping out.
